The laxative (Forlax) prescribed by my gastroenterologist is not working again and I haven’t defecated for 4 days already!!! I took dulcolax tablets, even doubled the dosage but it failed me. It’s my fault AGAIN because I haven’t been eating right lately – too much on the red meat but not so much on the leafy veggies, and no fruit at all. But my fiber intake is not zero because I’m taking in psyllium husk. But still it’s not enough …. 🙁
So I decided to eat orange. Actually not eat it per se but to make some smoothie. I’m lazy to chew, I just want to swallow it and it will even be friendlier to my stomach as it doesn’t need to exert a lot of effort to digest it. Then I decided to add milk to add some taste.
Believe it or not, I pooped after more than 2 hours. By the way, I drunk this on an empty stomach since my last food was at past 12 noon.
Oranges, peeled – 2 medium
Full Cream Milk – 350 ml
Black tea water – 150 ml (see Tea Water for the recipe)
1. Warm the milk in a microwave oven for 2 minutes
2. Put the orange and tea water in a blender and press pulse.
3. Add the warm milk and blend.
Drink on an empty stomach and prepare for the toilet 🙂
